Dr. Niketa Gandhi is a Senior Member IEEE and has more than 16 years of experience in academics performing various roles in teaching, training, programming, administration, and research at college and university level.  

Dr. Gandhi received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai and she has her Bachelor and Master of Science along with Master of Philosophy in Computer Science as well from India.

Dr. Gandhi is currently a SR&ED Technical Consultant with Flow Ventures, Canada. She is also Post Doctoral Fellow with Department of Life Sciences, University of Mumbai, India carrying out research in the field of Sleep Sciences remotely as she is based in Canada. She has been an IELTS coaching consultant for all categories of students and working professionals.

She recently completed her role as a faculty, teaching Computer Science and IELTS at Cambridge International Academy, Toronto and Technical Writer (remote) with TiME Consulting Group Inc., Toronto, Canada.

Prior to this role, she was a Technical Manager at Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), USA for last two years. MIR Labs is a global non-profit scientific consortium focused on innovation and research excellence. It has 1000+ members from 105 countries covering all continents and 10 industrial partners across the globe. Dr. Gandhi was leading global membership by engaging and coordinating a variety of technical activities among the members. Last two years she was heavily involved in the organization of seven annual conferences ISDA, HIS, IAS, IBICA, NaBICSoCPaR and WICT in the role of coordinating, publicity, organizing workshops, special sessions with the additional responsibility of publication chair.

Prior to joining MIR Labs, USA, Dr. Gandhi was associated with the Department of Computer Science, University of Mumbai, India. She was heavily involved in teaching masters students and guiding their application/research-based projects. She has held concurrent responsibilities which include administrative responsibility of coordinating M.Phil and Ph.D. computer science program of the department, along with an appointment as a Coordinator for Bachelors and Masters of Information Technology course at the Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai.  Prior to joining the University of Mumbai, she held a permanent position at an affiliated college where her main responsibilities were to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students of computer science and also guide their projects. She was in charge of the Bachelor's course in computer science and also a member of various committees at the college level. Dr. Gandhi has also held the post of Examination Chairperson for Bachelor's degree course in computer science of the University of Mumbai at Maharashtra state level for three consecutive years. Her responsibility was to conduct the examination of 3500+ students enrolled in 100+ colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Her pioneering approach and passion for excellence has won her accolades from the administration and has resulted in recognition of her outstanding performance for carrying out examination related work.  

Dr. Gandhi is a very prolific researcher who has gained a stellar reputation in academic pursuits and is evident from the extensive list of her publications. Dr. Gandhi is a fast-growing scientist in the specific field of AI applications in Agriculture. Her leadership, co-operation and technical skills are evident through her co-authored publications and projects. Some of her recent publications are evidence of her multi-disciplinary research interests. 

Dr. Gandhi is also actively involved in organizing various International conferences supported by IEEE and Springer where she has served as session chair and publication chair. She is also a technical program committee member of various International conferences in Algeria, Australia, Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Mauritius, Morroco, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, UK and Ukraine. She is also on the editorial board of many journals and member of professional bodies. She has also been invited as a speaker for various workshops and seminars. In her spare time, she mentors high school students with their Science projects and works towards building excitement amongst the new generation of young scientists.    

Dr. Gandhi's greatest strength is as a forward-looking bold thinker, with the pulse on the latest trends in technology.
